The Amsshare journey from articles to action
Amsshare was founded in 2023 by Sven Peter Kooi and Thomas van den Berg. What began as a way to share ideas from our studies and work has grown into a company supporting asset managers with smart risk and regulatory solutions.
Today, we help clients comply with ESMA regulations and strengthen their risk framework beyond compliance alone. What sets us apart is our flexible approach. We’ve seen that risk support often comes with large software platforms that are slow, expensive and hard to implement. Instead, we offer targeted solutions that deliver results quickly, without complex integrations. Our intelligent workflows automate risk analyses, dashboards and reporting. Manual work that once took days is now done in seconds.
Sven Peter graduated cum laude with an MSc in Finance, specialising in quantitative finance. He also holds a BSc in Business Administration with a specialisation in Finance and a minor in Risk Management for Financial Institutions. He previously worked at a risk management consultancy, supporting financial institutions with PRIIPs regulations, risk modelling and stress testing.
Thomas also earned an MSc in Finance and a BSc in Business Administration, including an exchange at Copenhagen Business School in Denmark. He gained experience at Van Lanschot Kempen and PwC, where he worked on credit risk modelling (Expected Credit Loss under IFRS 9), regulatory reporting and real estate portfolio analysis.
