The Amsshare journey from articles to action
Amsshare was founded in 2023 by Sven Peter Kooi and Thomas van den Berg. What began as a way to share ideas from our studies and work has grown into a company supporting asset managers with smart risk and regulatory solutions.
Today, we help clients meet ESMA regulations and strengthen risk management beyond compliance. What sets us apart is our flexible approach. We’ve seen that risk support often comes with large software platforms that are slow, expensive and hard to implement. Instead, we offer targeted solutions that deliver results quickly, without complex integrations.
When automation adds value, we build lightweight tools tailored to the task. This can be in Excel or Python, or with newer technologies like AI model workflows built in Flowise or n8n. This gives clients the benefits of modern tech without locking them in.
Sven Peter holds a BSc in Business Administration with a specialisation in Finance and a minor in Risk Management for Financial Institutions. In 2024, he graduated cum laude with an MSc in Finance, focusing on quantitative finance. He previously worked at a risk management consultancy, helping financial institutions with PRIIPs regulations, risk modelling and stress testing.
Thomas also earned a BSc in Business Administration and an MSc in Finance, including an exchange at Copenhagen Business School in Denmark. He gained experience at Van Lanschot Kempen and PwC. At PwC, where he worked on credit risk modelling (Expected Credit Loss model) in the banking industry (IFRS 9), regulatory reporting and real estate portfolio analysis.
